Swine Flu .... or Influenza A (H1N1) ...learn the words

As the death toll from swine flu also called Influenza A (H1N1) escalates and the global threat level is raised, eyewitness and Guardian Weekly reader Rosalinda Pearson describes how people in Mexico are coping with the outbreak. Swine flu is a mixture of pig, avian and human virus, and spreads between humans in the same way as normal flu. The World Health Organisation, as at 28 April, says a pandemic is not inevitable but has urged countries to strengthen their preparations for the arrival and spread of swine flu within their borders.

The idea is to stay at home and keep your distance from anyone. No hugging, no kissing, no handshaking and definitely no sneezing –
